About Us

Forget Me Not Ministries was born in 2016 out of a heart to get the gospel and planting church in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta of western Alaska, and has since expanded to include aviation and getting KJV Bibles out to the people. The YK Delta is one of the most unreached regions in all of America in terms of the gospel - likely because of the remoteness of the villages, the fact that it can be difficult to get into a community unless a strong relationship has already been built, and because there is no private land, which presents a challenge to missionaries trying to find housing. This region is approximately the land size of the state of Oregon and has a population of more than 25,000 people who live among 56 villages not connected by road. These villages range in size from 25 to over 1,000 residents. Bethel, the regional hub, is 400 miles west of Anchorage, and from the villages, is only accessible by airplane, boat during the summer, and, in winter, snow machines and four wheelers.

There are only two other Bible-preaching churches amongst all these villages, besides the one that we are planting in Napakiak. Our heart is to see this ministry be able to help missionaries plant more churches in our area and to get the gospel out to the people.

We invite you to come to our area on a survey trip and prayerfully consider if the Lord would have you join in on the efforts to plant independent Baptist churches amongst our people here.

Please call or email for more information, we look forward to hearing from you!

The Mission

The command to give the gospel to the world is clear and unmistakable and this Commission was given to the churches. Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Mark 16:20, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." John 20:21, "As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you." Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Rom. 10:13-15, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written. How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

Ministry Founders:

 Job and Bethany Hale

Job and Bethany were married March 20, 2020, following a hands-off courtship and engagement focused on honoring God. Due to complications brought on by the pandemic, they were unable to move permanently to Napakiak until 2021. They are both excited and privileged to be serving in this ministry, and love to share how God has blessed them. Continue reading to learn more about each of them!

Job was born in New Mexico in 1991, and relocated to Alaska with his family when he was 8 years old. At age 14 he gave his life to the Lord and a few months later felt a call to Native Alaskan missions. After spending time in the village of Napakiak as an employee for a construction job, he realized that that was where God wanted him to serve. In 2016 he moved out to Bethel, a larger village about 15 miles uriver, and began holding regular Bible studies in Napakiak.

Bethany is "an Alaska girl born and raised in Florida" as Job likes to say. Her father pastored Crestview Independent Baptist Church (which is now the Hales' sending church) from before she was born in 1998 until 2023 - she was saved at the age of 8 - so she was well acquainted with a life of ministry by the time she and Job met in 2018 in the village of St Marys, AK, where her brother-in-law and sister have planted a church.
